Calin & Hannah - Graham Washington Wedding

January 19, 2015

There was no way around it, it was going to rain on Hannah & Calin's wedding day and it was going to rain from dawn until midnight.  While getting ready at a friend's beautiful home, Hannah's response to the rain was, "I'm good with it, we got a cute umbrella."  And that in a nutshell, summarized Hannah's demeanor the whole day, she was good with whatever happened because she was about to marry her best friend.

Calin is a military man, an officer in the U.S. Air Force and a leader in all aspects of life.  For most of what he does day in and day out he is unfazeable.  Except when it comes to Hannah.  Around her, he comes undone as if every moment is a surprise.  He audibly caught his breath around her multiple times throughout the day, simply by glancing over at his new bride.

They are a perfect match, comfortable and confident, encouraging and empathizing, inspiring and inquisitive but above all, faithful and loving.  Saturday was a mash-up of stolen moments and public proclamations that tell a story far better than these words.  And since there are so very many pictures, I will simply let them speak.

I do believe this will go down in history as one of my favorite first looks ever.  I love these moments and I highly encourage all my couples to do them.

This wedding party was an absolute blast!  Nothing is better than sixteen of your best friends who will walk through the rain, covered in space blankets and sharing umbrellas, crouching in a barn door opening and loving every minute because this was a great day!

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Scott!  I am so thankful for allowing Noah and I to be part of your day.  I am so excited to hear all about your new life together in Mississippi!
