Eric & Whitley - Schmidt House, Tumwater Wedding

August 18, 2014

Eric has loved Whitley for six Christmases and this last holiday he asked her to marry him by placing a gorgeous diamond ring on their first ever Washington Christmas tree.  That, my friends, is nothing short of classic romance.

Fast forward eight months and you have a day that exuded the same timeless elegance, the kind that makes you want to live in a world of bow-tie tuxes, silver brooches and white roses.  Whitley is an incredibly talented graphic designer with a penchant for simple composition and perfect details.  And everything from the 110 year-old historic Schmidt House location with it's old farmhouse charms and big windows to the handcrafted silk and silver bouquet to the quilted, four-tier cake was truly a sight to behold.

From the moment I first saw her handmade, mint & green themed wedding stationary and emblem I knew this wedding day would be a feast for the eyes.  But I have to be honest, the look on Eric's face during the first look, the tears that welled up when he saw Whitley for the first time caught me a little off guard in the best way.  It is always good to be reminded that love can surprise us, even six years after it began.

Congratulations friends!  I'm so excited for the next step in your journey.  Thank you for letting me be a part of your gorgeous day!

Also, a huge shout out to Ali Marie Photography for second shooting this gorgeous day with me!
