Capitol Hill Seattle Wedding - Scott & Linnea - Melrose Market Studios

June 29, 2015

"Often a man wishes to be alone and a girl wishes to be alone too and if they love each other they are jealous of that in each other, but I can truly say we never felt that. We could feel alone when we were together, alone against the others ... But we were never lonely and never afraid when we were together." - Ernest Hemmingway, A Farewell to Arms

That passage was read during Scott & Linnea's wedding ceremony and when the words "never lonely and never afraid when we were together" were uttered, Scott & Linnea looked at each other like Hemmingway had just written their vows for them.  And that's how they are together, present and honest and brave.

Scott and Linnea chose not to see each other until the aisle.  So after they were pronounced husband and wife they walked down the aisle and into each others' arms and you could see the calm wash over them, because they were together.  The anxiousness subsided and the party began.

So there, on the hottest day of the year, amidst one of the busiest weeks in one of the busiest districts of Seattle, Scott and Linnea were alone as well as together with their friends and family.

Linnea made the amazing bouquets herself, her eye for what works is seriously unreal.

Melrose Market Studios provided the cutest venue and since it was in the basement it helped keep things cool on a serious Seattle scorcher!

Linnea and Scott had such remarkably loving relationships with their parents, it was a privilege to witness.

The groom's face, it gets me every time.  Scott almost fell forward seeing Linnea walk down the aisle.

We got to escape for a few portraits of just them and I could've watched them laugh with each other all day.

I want to give a huge shout out to the people at Terra Plata who not only let us into their rooftop garden for photos but provided the bride and groom with sparkling wine as well.  This spot was perfect and such a gift!

The catering was by Feed Co. Catering and it was truly remarkable.

Congratulations Scott & Linnea!  Thank you for letting me be a part of your big day!  Have fun in Cabo!

Also I want to give a great big THANK YOU to Cheryl Ford Photography for shooting with me on this one!
